SPECIAL H.O.F. ANNOUNCEMENTStarting 5 Sports Management is very proud and wants to congratulate Croatian and European basketball legend TONI KUKOC for finally being accepted to the Basketball Hall of Fame! Toni was well deserved to be honored by the H.O.F. much earlier than this, unfortunately he is often undervalued especially in the U.S.A. as he is known mostly for being the best 6th man of the league from the 3 peat Chicago Bulls Championship era. Even if only his NBA career was taken into account, with 3 NBA rings under his belt this should be enough to be accepted, however what most people might not be awere of, is that Toni was and still is the most decorated European player ever. Just to name a few of Toni’s accomplishments he is a 3 time Euroleague Champion, 3 time Euroleague final MVP, FIBA world Championship MVP, 4 time Yugoslav champion, 2 time Yugoslav Cup winner, 3 time Croatian Sportsman of the year, etc. Now in 2021 he is finally getting the recognition he deserves for his enormous talent and incredible career, and for us at Starting 5 Sports Management this is not only a sense of great national pride as a Croatian agency, but also a sense of personal and family pride. Because as you may or may not know, one of the Euroleague Championships Toni won with Pop 84 in 1991, just two years prior to the Chicago Bulls, was with none the less but our FIBA agent Vedran Pavlicevic’s father Zeljko Pavlicevic who is a H.O.F. here in Europe in his own right, being named by FIBA as one of the 20 best European coaches of the 20th century. This was also the last time Croatia had a Euroleague Champion, and Toni represents all the glory from that past era which is a sense of pride for many. As such we have decided to share with you some photos from our personal family collection of that era, with coach Zeljko and our FIBA agent, as a rememberance of that period. Once again Toni Kukoc Hall of Famer, congratulations and about time!!!
